Aqueous Deficient Dry Eye

One of the reasons you could be suffering from dry eyes is because there is a low volume of tears on the surface of your eyes. A low tear volume can frequently occur due to auto-immune disease for example: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus or Sjogren's Syndrome. There are medicated eye drops which can be helpful for those patients with aqueous deficient dry eye. Dry eye syndrome is often caused by the combination of several different factors. Hence, dry eyes may require several levels of treatment including on going lid care and use of eye drops on a daily basis.
